Creative Writers' Guild: The Untold Story Of LAZARUS

THIS WORK IS PURELY A WORK OF FICTION AND WAS NOT INTENDED TO OFFEND ANYBODY OR RELIGION. IT IS AN ALTERNATE OF THE REAL STORY. Now I know better. I know that a man's enemy does not live faraway in Kano. No. And he is not the tyrant president waving to you on the telly. In fact, he is not your neighbour next door that laughs at your tattered jeans. Your enemy resides in your very home.         You all believe Martha and Mary loved me. It is a blatant lie. And if I don't tell you this, it is possible you remain oblivious to the truth. Whilst Mary is a true darling, Martha is my arch-enemy. Tell me. How else would a friend send you to the dungeon for three good days?

Plight Of An African Child

Image
He sat alone in his ragged clothes, he watched as people were resuming to various offices. All he owned were his life and an old book plus a shabby pencil he picked from the garbage. Written in his book were self-made interviews he had been conducting on himself since he acquired the book. Often, when you move closer to him, you would hear him murmuring the words “I am Kosi Kabuoh, a Presenter” as he would stretch his hands out like he’s waiting for an exchange in pleasantries. That simply depicts the normal life that would not be expected of an African child dwelling in poverty. Many reporters, both internationally and locally have stereotyped our African Children as unhappy and non-ambitious children who lost it all to environmental factors.

STORY: The Last God

PROLOGUE Being an all-powerful being had its perks. The flying, teleportation, sexiness and immortality was pretty awesome, not to talk of the heady worship and awesome dental insurance policy. I stepped out of my office and moved towards my new kia xperia 9000, a car brought from the future thanks to Esu, Olodumare’s messenger. The guy was annoying but pretty handy with stuffs like this. I worked in an electrical holding company in Victoria Island, Lagos state.

BOOK REVIEW: First World (A Walker Saga Book One) By Jaymin Eve

Image
Fair warning: I’m a guy. This review is from a male perspective. Ok now that that’s out of the way, let me tell you about this fantastic book! I came across this author and her book on a Goodreads indie author forum (I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review), and I admit my first reaction was “Oh no, I have to review a chick-lit paranormal romance”. Needless to say, this isn’t my normal genre, but I decided to risk my testosterone levels and make it to the end so I could give a fair review. And I’m a better man for it. From the opening scenes with Abby the orphan struggling to make it in a post-apocalyptic New York I was hooked. The author does a fantastic job of setting the scene and quickly introducing you to the main characters in a fluid and well told story. Abby and her best friend Lucy make a great team throughout the novel, providing complementary personalities that strengthen and support each other when they need it most....
